Vintage Enoteca has claimed its place as one of the most stimulating wine bars on the Sunset Strip. Masterfully blending a tone of Hollywood casual with a minimalist New York décor, this cozy neighborhood eatery showcases Italian gourmet food and a carefully cultivated selection of beers and wine in a relaxed and elegant setting.
Owners Danielle Francois and Jennifer Moore walked away from booming careers in advertising to pursue their dream of opening a west coast destination for lovers of sophisticated but affordable cuisine. Small plates include medjool dates with manchego and goat cheese, house-made pickled vegetables, and deviled eggs topped with choice of bacon, salmon or caviar. Varieties of bruschetta range from blue crab with mint and lemon, asparagus with succulent onion jam, and chicken liver pâté. Those seeking more substantial fare will delight in the variety of gourmet panini, savory flatbreads and pasta dishes available.
Walk through the front door on any given night and you’re likely to find both owners waiting to greet you, tantalize you with the latest specials and suggest the perfect wine to pair with your meal. Hard-to-find varietals, both international and domestic, abound in the wine list. Highlights include Quinta do Feital “Auratus”, Luli Pinot Noir and Saxon Brown Semillon. Microbrews include Anderson Valley Oatmeal Stout, Chimay Bleue, Belgium, and – a nod to the owners’ East coast roots – Coney Island Albino Python Lager.
Featuring coffee drinks, fresh bagels and breakfast sandwiches each morning, Vintage Enoteca also boasts a unique brunch menu on weekends along with bottomless blackberry sangria. Ample free parking is available directly behind the eatery.
